Welcome to Short Breaks 4 Me - London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council’s eMarketplace for Short Breaks.

We have had a successful first year since launching this exciting new website in response to a review we carried out on how we managed our Short Breaks Personal Grants Scheme.

Through Short Breaks 4 Me, we make it easier and quicker for families to apply for their grants and get the money. The eMarketplace includes a wide range of fun activities across the borough and provides good value for money. Families can have their grant credited to their online account and are able to spend this money on activities available on the eMarketplace.

The system has also removed the need for parents to send in their receipts which has been a welcomed change. There are a range of available activities on the eMarketplace which we regularly review and expand in response to your feedback and suggestions. We want this to be a vibrant, well used site so your feedback is really important and will help us make sure Short Breaks 4 Me works well for families across the borough.

You can browse the eMarketplace and take a look at the range of activities on offer but you will need to create an account and apply online to have access to a Personal Short Breaks grant and have funds to spend.
